Winter Wilderness
Inhale the cold breeze, exhale the warm air. Forget about your suitcase, grab your backpack and your mountain boots. Winter in Iceland is unpredictable, as well as this adventure. We will use one location as basecamp in the South Coast of the island; and the weather, the snow conditions and our guides’ expertise will determine our final destination for every day. Remote corners of Iceland, black sand beaches, geothermal valleys covered with a thick white layer of snow, forgotten lands of the Gods and exuberant ice caves that will blow your mind.
Join an unique & active winter adventure in Iceland through the most remote and rough landscapes of the Icelandic scenery.

Destination
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the Basecamp.
You will meet your guide & the rest of the group in the BSÍ, Reykjavík’s Central Bus Station, for being transfered to the 1st accommodation. We will have a briefing about our adventure and dinner all together in the fantastic accommodation. *Beverages not included.
Days 2, 3, 4 & 5: Into the winter.
The Icelandic scenery was forged with the cold ice of the massive glaciers, and during the following days you will experience the rough & wild side of its nature. During 4 days you will travel through other-worldly landscapes and you will discover the less crowded trails of the untamed island of ice and fire.
The weather, the snow conditions and our guides’ expertise will determine our final destination for every day. Face the raw and remote nature of the Highlands’ valleys aboard a superjeep, and hike with snowshoes surrounded by geothermal canyons or dwarf birch forests. Follow the frozen rivers’ course until the thunderous waterfalls, whose waters will continue their way crossing by shipwrecks along immense black sand beaches.
Every morning we will unfold our map and we will chart the course to a new destination. Dramatic views over the Vestmannæyjar (the Westman Islands) & its “fire mountain”, labyrinthine ice caves under the millennial ice caps & the dance of the Valkyries (the northern lights) will enlighten our days and nights for turning this adventure into an unique experience.
Day 6: Return to Reykjavík
After breakfast, we will return to Reykjavík with the happy feeling of having soaked up the Icelandic outstanding landscapes, which will be forever engraved in our memory. Drop off by our guide in the city center. Transfer to Reykjavík and end of our services.
