Tailored for individuals in good physical condition who are comfortable participating in outdoor activities like kayaking and short glacier hikes, as well as exploring Antarctica’s unique wildlife. Daily outings will involve active pursuits in often unpredictable conditions, with a mix of kayaking and short hikes across rugged terrain. Some days may demand longer excursions, depending on the weather and wildlife. Daily hikes cover approximately 8km / 5mi, demanding around 3-4 hours of hiking each day. Kayaking sessions will also cover different distances each time.

FLOATING BASECAMP

Welcome aboard Ocean Tramp, a 66-foot/20-meter ketch-rigged sailboat designed for rugged expeditions in remote regions like Antarctica. With four comfortable guest cabins, it accommodates up to 7 guests, 2 guides and a professional crew. The open front deck is perfect for whale watching or taking in the majestic Antarctic landscape.

After a day of adventure, unwind in the cozy saloon, sharing stories and photos over a delicious meal. Whether you’re a photographer, hiker, or explorer, Ocean Tramp offers both the comfort and freedom needed for unforgettable journeys.

Day 1: Fly to Antarctica

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Punta Arenas, with timing confirmed the day before. From there, you’ll be transferred to the local airport for a thrilling charter flight to King George Island, located in the South Shetlands. Awaiting you will be the Ocean Tramp, ready to embark on this unforgettable expedition. Keep in mind, the flight to Antarctica is entirely weather-dependent, and exact departure times are subject to logistical coordination, ensuring that your journey is as smooth and safe as possible.

Days 2 to 13: Exploring the West Peninsula

Each day offers exciting activities tailored to your adventurous spirit. Hiking across glaciers, kayaking through ice-filled waters, and spotting the remarkable wildlife of Antarctica are all part of this action-packed expedition. With the flexibility to seize whatever the day presents—whether it’s a unique wildlife encounter or the beauty of the untouched landscape—you’ll be fully immersed in this remarkable, active journey. This trip is designed to get you moving and exploring, making the most of everything the Antarctic wilderness has to offer.

Day 14: Return to King George Island

As your journey comes to a close, you’ll sail back to King George Island and catch your flight to Punta Arenas. From your window, enjoy one last breathtaking view of the Antarctic wilderness. Upon returning to Punta Arenas, you’ll share a celebration dinner with your fellow travelers, reminiscing about the unforgettable moments and adventures of this once-in-a-lifetime expedition.
