A unique winter trip in Iceland in which we will travel through the South coast and the Icelandic Highlands during the winter in a small group. Surrounded by the frozen landscapes of the island of ice and fire, we will move in our modified Land Rover Defender which will allow us to access to several places that challenge our imagination. We will complete our trip with a glacier hiking in order to access to a blue ice cave, and with a night in the highlands of Iceland, in Þórsmörk, the valley of the thunder god. There we will enjoy the experience of hiking in one of the most incredible places in Iceland with snowshoes, and a night bonfire under the watchful eye of the dancing spirits of the Valkyries, the Northern Lights.

Day 1: Welcome to Iceland!
Arrival and reception by the guides at the airport, transfer to the accommodation in Reykjavík. Briefing and review of personal material with free afternoon in the Icelandic capital.
Day 2: Golden Circle, greenhouses & hot springs
The Golden Circle is so called because we can admire in its journey the highlights that best define what is the Icelandic landscape and its culture. Glacial valleys, waterfalls, geysers, glacial lakes and the crevices of the meso-atlantic ridge that crosses the island from northeast to southwest. Wonders of nature mixed with Icelandic traditions and culture. We will complete the day with a stop to visit and eat at the greenhouses of Friðheimar; and to take a relaxing bath in the natural hot springs of the Secret Lagoon. * Lunch at Friðheimar and entrance to Secret Lagoon not included
Day 3: South Coast, waterfalls & secret canyons
Today we will head towards the south coast. Waterfalls, black sand beaches and secret canyons will accompany us throughout our day under the watchful eye of the Myrdalsjökull glacier and the Eyjafjallajökull volcano, which erupted in 2010. We will visit the famous waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, as well as some secret canyons only known by our guides. We will finish our day in the small fishing village of Vík í Myrdal, where we can enjoy the black sand beaches and the incredible proximity of the ocean.
Day 4: The Vatnajökull Glacier
We wake up in a unique environment and after breakfast, we will depart to reach the Vatnajökull National Park, close to the highest peak in Iceland. This place encompasses one of the three famous National Parks of the island; and one of the most alpine areas of the south coast. With its 8,000 square kilometers, the Vatnajökull glacier creates a unique landscape where lava fields, black sediment deserts, glaciers and dwarf birch forests make up this unique ecosystem that escapes our imagination.
Day 5: Inside the glacier - Blue Ice Cave
Today in the morning we will go to the famous glacier lagoon of Jökulsárlón, from where we will leave for an adventure in the middle of the biggest glacier in Europe. On board a modified vehicle we will enter the glacier front, and from there we will make a glacier hike with crampons to access the hidden ice cave, a lost place where you can enjoy this beauty with serenity. While we cross the glacier on the way to the cave, we can admire the incredible ice formations that the glacier itself builds in its movement. Once the activity is over, we will head west again to return to spend the night in the town of Vík í Myrdal.
Day 6: Thórsmörk. The lost valley
Thórsmörk, the valley of the Thunder God (Thor); It is one of the places that fascinate us the most. Not only for the beauty of the landscape, but also for the incredible sense of isolation that we can experience here. We will not have contact with the touristic Iceland, but we will with the wildest part. Driven to the Highlands with a super jeep, we will enjoy a winter activity in this oasis of birch forests and glaciers that defy the laws of nature. We will explore the secrets of this valley with snowshoes and return to our accommodation in the valley itself, where we will spend the night. Possibility of making a nocturnal bonfire and enjoying thermal baths in the surroundings of the accommodation.
Day 7: Volcanoes & glaciers
Today we will wake up in the middle of one of the wildest areas of Iceland! We will get up in this magical place called Thórsmörk and after several treks in the areas near our accommodation, we will head back to the south coast, to the village of Hvolsvöllur. There we will have the possibility of visiting the Lava Center or relax in our accommodation and settle in our memory the great memories that we take with us of this incredible adventure.
Day 8: Transfer to Keflavík international airport
Today we say goodbye to Iceland, but with the happy feeling of having soaked up with their outstanding landscapes, which will be forever engraved in our memory. The itinerary could be changed in case of adversal meteo conditions.
